Traditional Hatha Yoga is a gentle, grounding practice that unites body, breath, and

awareness. It focuses on steady postures, mindful breathing, and balancing the
sun–moon energies within. Rooted in ancient India, it prepares the body and mind
for stillness and meditation. The practice cultivates strength, clarity, and inner
harmony.
Hatha yoga has its roots in India, as one of the stages to prepare the body physically and
mentally for meditation.
Philosophically, the term “hatha” has a deep symbolic meaning. “Ha” – sun, “tha” – moon. It is a
symbol of the unity of opposites. The unity and harmony of opposites creates balance.
Translated from Sanskrit, yoga means “union” and “unity”.
In this class, we will practice yoga in a more meditative way, with gentle attention on the
breath. Traditionally, yogis practiced Hatha Yoga with deep conscious awareness,
connecting the body, mind, and breath as one. Together, we will explore joint movement,
postures pranayman and meditation, creating a calm and balanced inner space.
